Material and Standards
1055 is a medium-carbon steel that conforms to ASTM A29/A29M standards. Its carbon content is approximately 0.50–0.60%, its manganese content is 0.60–0.90%, and its sulfur and phosphorus contents are both ≤0.040%.
International Standards: Equivalent to JIS S55C, DIN C55, and EN C55E.
Galvanized Coating: Hot-dip galvanized (HDG) coatings typically have a density of 60–600 g/m², providing excellent corrosion resistance.
